The Great Barrier Reef is one of the world’s most iconic natural wonders. Stretching 2,300 kilometres along the coast of Queensland, it’s cared for by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) with a mobile workforce of over 230 employees located from the Torres Strait to Australia’s capital, Canberra.
With a distributed, remote workforce – mobility is key. Aurion Self Service has empowered GBRMPA employees to access their people and payroll details anywhere, anytime in real-time and from any device.
Together with their focus on effective and efficient environmental regulation and their mobile workforce, GBRMPA was excited to be an early adopter of Aurion mobile self-service technology. Mobile self-service aligns with GBRMPA’s vision of streamlining processes and enabling their staff to access Self Service anywhere, anytime at any location from their smartphone or tablet.
Common tasks such as checking payslips and applying for leave is now possible via smartphone. Aurion also streamlined GBRMPA’s manual processes by offering automated mobile Self Service solutions for web recruitment, forms (business-specific request forms, recruitment action requests, incident reports and more), timesheet input and approvals for casual employees and performance appraisals.
“Our employees love that Self Service can be accessed on their mobile devices when on the road. We deliberately did not provide any instructions to see how easy it was for employees to navigate around and the feedback has been very positive”.
