BRAND JOURNEY
Aurion was founded in Brisbane in 1985 by a team determined to rethink payroll software for Australian organisations.
We welcomed our first customer, ActewAGL, one of Australia's leading energy providers, and they remain a valued customer today.
Our brand was inspired by the Orion's Belt constellation. We later evolved the spelling to Aurion to create a distinctive brand identity while retaining its connection to the iconic constellation.
Expanded our customer-base beyond Utilities to service other industry sectors including Education and Government.
We launched Australia’s first Payroll Self Service, creating better experiences for end users of our software.
We opened our Canberra payroll services bureau to better support our growing Government customer-base.
We transitioned to a Software as a Service (SaaS) model, leveraging cloud technology to deliver greater flexibility, scalability and innovation for customers.
Launched online Self Service, making Aurion even more accessible to end users.
Continued to expand our presence across Australia and enhance our platform capabilities, helping organisations better manage complex payroll and workforce requirements with greater efficiency.
We were acquired by Chandler Macleod Group, owning one of Australia’s top recruitment agencies.
We were the first to market with Single Touch Payroll (STP) compliant software.
Became part of RGF Staffing ANZ, part of the fourth largest HR company worldwide.
Launched dedicated Mobile app and ability to link to online Self Service for expanded features.
Substantial funding was approved and development began for our next-gen software, Version 12.
Built major compliance updates into our software platform including STP – Phase 2 and Payday Super.
