Aurion has announced a new integration with the Beam super payment tool, allowing their customers to save time and effort by managing all payroll, superannuation and STP reporting requirements from one central payroll platform.

Large companies can potentially be required to deal with up to 50 or more different superannuation funds every payment cycle – placing huge demands on payroll staff, especially if employee incomes vary due to shift loadings, commissions, and salary sacrifice.

Beam integrates with payroll software like Aurion using cloud-based Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to securely transfer data and funds between payroll software, financial institutions, super funds and the ATO. This reduces administrative effort and the cost of compliance and increases the speed of payment transfers from employer bank accounts to employee super accounts.

“We’re excited to partner with Aurion,” said Mathew Gilroy, Founder of Beam. “By integrating with payroll systems like Aurion, we’re keeping super simple and changing the way Australian employers think about superannuation. Having Aurion on board as a partner will help create a more streamlined experience for many more employers.”

Aurion executive general manager Kathryn Wilson said, “In more than 30 years of business in the payroll and HR space, Aurion has always supported innovations like Beam that streamline and automate processing and compliance to save time and prevent human error.”

Australia’s clearing houses like Beam, are run by a range of financial institutions, including the ATO, banks, super funds or contracted third-party providers. Beam is issued by Precision Administration Services, which is wholly owned by Australian Retirement Trust.
