Aurion 11.98.1C is a mandatory update to stay compliant with Australia’s Payday Super changes, adding new STP, SuperStream NPP, and NSW LSL enhancements.

Aurion version 11.98.1 is now live!

Aurion version 11.98.1C (log in required) is now live and ready for customers to implement.

This release is a mandatory update to help ensure your organisation remains compliant with upcoming Payday Super requirements from the Australian Taxation Office, coming into effect on 1 July 2026.

Aurion has already been recognised by the ATO as Payday Super ready, giving customers added confidence they’re supported ahead of these changes.

The 11.98.1C update introduces a range of enhancements designed to support these changes, strengthen compliance, and simplify day-to-day payroll processes. From improved STP reporting to streamlined Long Service Leave calculations, 11.98.1C is designed to give payroll teams greater clarity, control, and confidence in meeting ATO compliance requirements.

Here’s what’s new.

What’s featured in our latest release:

  • STP enhancements for Payday Super Qualifying Earnings (QE)

  • Payday Super financial year super guarantee & MCB limit changes
  • NPP Payment Method now available for SuperStream
  • New South Wales Long Service Leave compliance update
  • Award Leave Type Detail form display is improved

STP enhancements for Payday Super Qualifying Earnings (QE)

With Payday Super on the horizon, accurate and transparent reporting is more important than ever.

Aurion 11.98.1C introduces enhanced handling of  Qualifying Earnings (QE) within STP to support upcoming Payday Super obligations. A new ‘Non QE Counts for Super’ tab in the STP Configuration task gives you clearer control over which earnings are considered superable, helping reduce ambiguity and improve reporting accuracy.

To further support consistency, labels across Aurion have been updated to reference QE/OTE, making it easier to understand how earnings are classified throughout the system.

QE calculations now also account for specific employee groups, including:

  • Employees working 30 hours per week or less
  • Employees under 18
  • Domestic and private workers

From 1 July 2026, QE will be automatically calculated and included in all relevant STP submissions, helping ensure your reporting remains accurate and compliant as requirements change.

Payday Super financial year super guarantee & MCB limit changes

Staying aligned with changing financial year limits can be complex, especially when managing compliance at scale.

This release includes an update to Business Rule 00030, ensuring the latest Super Guarantee (SG) rates and Maximum Contributions Base (MCB) limits are applied automatically. STP QE is now capped at the MCB by default, reducing the risk of over-reporting.

To provide greater visibility, new alert options have also been added to key STP processes, including:

  • Pay by Pay STP PAYEVNT
  • Generate End of Year STP PAYEVNT

These alerts notify you when Super QE/OTE exceeds the ATO MCB, allowing you to address potential issues before submissions are made.

NPP Payment Method now available for SuperStream

Aurion now supports the New Payments Platform (NPP) as a payment method for SuperStream.

This enhancement gives organisations greater flexibility in how super contributions is processed, while also improving traceability. With the introduction of a unique Payment Reference Number (PRN), payments can be more easily tracked and reconciled.

It’s a step forward in modernising payment processes and aligning with evolving industry standards.

New South Wales Long Service Leave compliance update

Managing Long Service Leave (LSL) can be time-consuming, particularly when it comes to state-based requirements.

Aurion 11.98.1C introduces improvements to support compliance with the Long Service Leave Act 1955 (NSW), including:

  • A new ‘Yearly Pro Rata’ service measure for employees ceasing after 15 years
  • Automatic preservation of entitlement weeks when employee status changes

These updates reduce the need for manual calculations and help ensure more consistent, accurate outcomes, saving valuable time for payroll teams.

Award Leave Type Detail form display is improved

Alongside compliance updates, this release also includes enhancements to improve the user experience.

The Award Leave Type Detail form has been updated to minimise scrolling, with the Liability Percent section now displaying at least 15 rows at a time. This makes it easier to view and manage information without unnecessary navigation.
