We’re always working towards making improvements to our Aurion payroll software for a smoother, intuitive experience. Our latest quarterly software release, Version 11.95 (log in required) brings a range of enhancements to improve usability and streamline everyday HR and payroll processes.

Some of the highlights from this release include further enhancements to Employee Self Service (ESS), improved clarity with superannuation audit trails, and simplifying leave balance checks. These features will improve everyday tasks for payroll teams.

Upgraded User Interface (UI) for Change Employee section in ESS

We’ve made minor but effective user interface (UI) improvements to the “Change Employee” section in ESS. These updates build on the enhancements introduced in our previous release that include the design and accessibility upgrade to the ESS platform. Creating an overall cleaner, and more intuitive interface. Meaning less time spent navigating to get to the features you need, providing more time for you to get things done.

New audit trail reporting for superannuation records

Transparency is key. That’s why we’ve introduced auditing capabilities for superannuation fund code configurations. This enhancement allows organisations to monitor exactly which users make changes, what was changed, and when. With this clear audit trail, this update feature will strengthen internal payroll governance. Providing greater accountability and transparency across superannuation records. All to reduce the risk of errors, support internal controls, and make it easier to meet compliance obligations during audits or reviews.

Smarter employee leave balance checks

Not all leave types affect an employee’s balance. In this release, there is now the functionality to bypass leave balance checks for leave types such as unpaid or special leave, which don’t impact the overall balance. All to make payroll processing smoother and avoiding unnecessary manual fixes with more streamlined workflows.

Easier termination modelling and separation quotes

Managing employee exits just got easier. We’ve refined our termination modelling and separation quote features, making forecasting and employee management more user-friendly and efficient. Sorting through termination modelling with a more methodical approach while streamlining processing. Saving teams more time while reducing errors when handling employee terminations.

More inclusive name fields

We’ve increased the character count for the surname field for one of our API options, from 20 to 30 characters. This small but meaningful changes allows for more inclusive and accurate name entries, especially for employees in organisations that have longer or hyphenated surnames. Increasing data accuracy and inclusivity options for customer organisations.
