Launching the next evolution of cloud payroll software: Aurion Version 12

We’re 1 month in to 2025 and it’s shaping up to be a big year at Aurion!

There are so many milestones and events for celebration in the works for this year, with more to be shared on that later! But to start, let’s recap one of the biggest product achievements at Aurion to date, Version 12 officially going to production.

In October of 2024, we hosted an internal launch to celebrate our next-generation cloud payroll software, Version 12 officially being deployed to production.

The journey to launch Version 12 has been paved by the collective intelligence and collaboration of our team. It is a testament to the dedication, knowledge, and passion of the people we have at Aurion to make life work better by delivering innovative software and solutions.

A significant chapter in the rich history of Aurion, Version 12 will reinforce our position as an industry leader in cloud payroll software and cement our trajectory to continue the product and service excellence that our customers come to expect.

Throughout the course of this event, we learned more about the story behind Version 12, and how far we have come to achieve the incredible milestone of getting Aurion Version 12.1 to production. Our Toowong office hosted over 100 team members and we were joined by special guests:

It was a jam-packed event, with a keynote presentation from Aurion’s Managing Director, Kathryn Wilson. Which explored more of the journey behind Aurion Version 12, with a peak behind the curtain at the exciting Australian payroll software that the team have worked so diligently to design, build and now deploy.

There were quite a few key moments and activities that were a part of our 12.1 launch that added to the excitement and festivities of the event. Let’s take a look!

Limited edition Aurion merchandise

Who doesn’t like fresh new merch? Couldn’t be us!

We proudly presented our Aurion team who built Version 12 with limited edition merchandise. A keepsake for the part they played in revolutionising Australian cloud payroll software in the form of Aurion Version 12. These exclusive items included a customised bottle of wine to continue the celebration, alongside a “V12 has launched” commemorative t-shirt.

Special thanks to our models Sooty & Sweep for modelling our new merch (unfortunately they missed out on this specific merch drop).

A time capsule for Version 12 with our Celebration Wall

To keep the celebration going towards 50 years in operation, our team of 150+ strong signed our commemorative “Celebration Wall”. Cementing their individual mark within their role of One Team Aurion on their journey to getting Version 12 to production. The sign reads:

Our next innovation in people and payroll, built by One Team Aurion using the experience learned throughout our rich heritage leads us towards a bright future.

The celebrations continued, with a specialty champagne cart, canapes and photos to capture the monumental occasion of Aurion Version 12 going to production.

In reception, the balloon wall was a crowd favourite with our team making the most of a good photo opportunity to capture some great photos to remember the special event.

Thank you to our incredible team at Aurion for the dedication, passion and expertise throughout the entire business to get Version 12 to production. In addition to throwing out good vibes all around for this celebration and monumental occasion in the Aurion history books.
