Yesterday the Australian HR Institute (AHRI) NSW Learning & Development Network hosted an HR Leader with deep cross-sector experience in global organisations at our Sydney office, to talk about her experience leading a complex transformation project as well as a deeply personal story of transition.
Hanli Pretorius has held senior roles with SABMiller in South Africa, Lion, Optus and now Ventia in Australia as Head of Organisation Effectiveness. Having moved from South Africa to Australia seven years ago, Hanli has had personal experience in major career transitions, and discussed how to support overseas talent transitioning into an Australian organisation.
Hanli shared her own experiences in managing diverse stakeholders and pursuing goals that lead to enhanced team and organisation effectiveness. The audience had the opportunity to discuss and identify key areas that require HR support to ensure that a culturally diverse talent pool have what they need to succeed in their role.
