Braemar Presbyterian Care provides high quality residential aged care for the City of Melville and Town of East Fremantle community. The company employs 250 staff dedicated to supporting their residents in living a fulfilling life. Braemar has been an Aurion partner since 2013, relying on Aurion software to deliver accurate payroll and streamline HR tasks. Single Touch Payroll (STP) – the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) reporting initiative requiring real-time reporting of payroll processing – became mandatory for all employers with more than 20 employees in 2018. STP became a big change to payroll processing for Australian businesses including Braemar. Working with Aurion, Braemar achieved Single Touch Payroll compliance made easy.
The team at Braemar Presbyterian Care didn’t know what to expect with the change to STP reporting each pay. With their growing workforce, Braemar wanted to ensure minimal disruption to their operations during the STP transition. Braemar Presbyterian Care knew a bit about STP , but weren’t sure what the STP-enabled software solution from Aurion would deliver. It turned out – there was nothing to worry about. Aurion was fully equipped to deliver STP reporting for Braemar and setup the Aurion ATO Gateway ahead of the 30 June 2018 compliance date.
Braemar Presbyterian Care are happliy using Aurion’s STP-enabled payroll solution and have the peace of mind knowing they are automatically sending all required data to the ATO, with no manual intervention or additional processing steps.
Kirsty Harwood, Corporate Services Coordinator for Braemar was impressed with the speed and simplicity of the transition:
“We were nervous about the process of becoming STP compliant, but thanks to the team at Aurion for the great service and support they offered, our configuration was completed on time and without disruption to our payroll processes.”
The outcome has been smooth and efficient STP compliance.
“STP reporting to the ATO is running smoothly through the Aurion gateway and the processes set up are easy for our payroll department to follow”, said Harwood. “Thanks to the Aurion team!”
