Aurion update 11.74 (log in for access) brings new capabilities and improved user design for payroll and recruitment teams. The Aurion platform now further automates hiring for new employees, including a new method for users to publish job advertisements, and offers a time-saving new option for customers using the Beam clearing house.

Functionality overall simplifies Recruitment
Reducing manual processing and introducing a much simpler way to create and advertise job vacancies, Recruitment functionality has been relocated from separate menu tasks within the Recruitment module, to tabs within the Recruitment Vacancy task. These changes are predominately relocations of existing features and functions, so users will need to familiarise themselves with the improved process.

Advertising a vacancy has been similarly streamlined with new and existing fields related to job advertisements now grouped under an ‘Advertise’ tab under the Recruitment Vacancy task. Recruitment Managers can also use the new DateFrom and DateTo fields to automatically publish and unpublish vacancies on the Web Candidate portal or other job boards, at a specific time and date. They can also choose to progress the checklist without the vacancy being removed from the Web Candidate portal, because there is no longer a connection between the checklist and advertising.

Recruitment administrators have number of new features to make sure they can give the right information about a new position to the right people at the right time. They can choose to withhold salary information from a vacancy listed on the Web Candidate portal; and when it’s time for the interview, those interviewing the candidate can access their resume and cover letter in the Interview Arrangement mail message.

Automation increases financial control
Payroll Administrators can now save time and reduce data handling with an API that enables the Tax File Number (TFN) submitted by a new employee to automatically update the Schedule of Hires, before they’re committed to payroll.

Using the Beam super payment tool through Aurion became easier to manage for organisations with multiple companies and areas of operations under the one payroll bureau. Each entity can now automatically set refunds from payloads for Beam to go to their specific direct debit account, rather than rely on separate transfers from a single account.
