PwC Australia have renewed Aurion’s accreditation to the ASAE3402 Type 2 Standard for services that meet strict controls, as an independent assurance that our customers’ data is secured, monitored and complete.

ASAE stands for ‘Australian Standard on Assurance Engagements’, which is managed by the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AUASB), and ‘Type 2’ refers to the fact that the assessment is for the past 12 months, rather than a snapshot in time.

Aurion users can log in to view the Assurance Controls ASAE3402 Type 2 Report in PDF.

The AUASB say that the ASAE3402 standard “…establishes requirements and provides application and other explanatory material regarding the assurance practitioner’s responsibilities when providing a report for use by user entities and their auditors, on the controls at a service organisation that provides a service to user entities that is likely to be relevant to user entities’ internal control as it relates to financial reporting.”

In other words, ASAE3402 considers controls over services, functions performed and applications that are likely to be relevant for the customer and its auditor to evaluate the internal control over financial reporting.

Aurion has been partnering with PwC for over six years to test the operating effectiveness of the Aurion Cloud Platform (ACP) and outsourced payroll services, to which ASAE3402 is particularly relevant.

As an expert, third-party endorsement of our solutions’ quality and security, Aurion maintains range of certifications, including ISO9001:2015 for a quality management system and ISO27001 for an information security management system, which applies directly to the Aurion Cloud Platform (ACP) and our SaaS solutions for People & Payroll.
